Adrenal gland facts

• Produces steroid hormone, cortisol (the stress hormone);
• Produces adrenaline and noradrenaline, the fight or flight neurotransmitters;
• Communicates with the liver to release glycogen for breakdown into glucose;
• Adaptation to conditions so that responses are even and balanced and not severe;
